Brothers In Action [BIA] a group of former student of De La Salle College Mangere East who are committed to living and sharing the Lasallian spirit.
Inspired by the leadership and dedication of the De La Salle Brothers, BIA aims to support the entire De La Salle Community: students, staff, the principal, families, and all who make up the Lasallian community here and overseas.

Some of the things we have undertaken over the past 10 years to support this mission include:
- Homework center supervision up to four nights a week at the College
- Two 'Quiet Achievers' scholarships awarded to students annually
- Career talks
- Staff morning tea's to says 'thanks!'
- Assisting with running youth ministry sessions on Friday nights
- Running 'Big Brother Outings' - taking year 7 & 8 students out to bowling, ice skating, strike, Rugby games etc
- Organising and running Lasallian Youth Gathering 2003 for 110 participants from around Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea
We are proud of what we have created - a 'first' in the Lasallian family and an inspiration to other groups such as Lasalle Melbourne.
As we approach our 10th anniversary we are looking to rejuvenate and will welcome fresh ideas and contributions from anyone who wants to be a Lasallian!
